It has been quite awhile since I have wandered over here and posted.  I just got back from a great weekend in Vegas.  I was there with my buddy Nate on a poker binge.  I made final table at 5 of the 6 tournaments that I played, and I cashed in one.  I was playing good poker.  I am getting ready for the AZ state championships in August.

I finished the acquisition of my Cisco lab.  I now just need to get back on the bandwagon and get studying.  I have been contemplating waiting until the fall and taking my BSCI at Mesa Community College, but I have yet to decide on that.

This weekend I am working over night on Sunday to replace a server at the data center.  I am looking at getting a 73in TV in time for UFC on Sat but I have yet to see my 3500 check from a side job I did.

We will see.

After reviewing the lab contents with my buddy Matt, I have decided not to purchase the lab in Denver.  This has saved me about $2000US.

I currently have 3 cisco 2950’s and 3 3620’s.  Looking at what I need for my CCNP I purchased 2 3550-SMI and 3 3640’s fully loaded with DRAM and FLASH.  I’ll be loading the 3550’s with the EMI image that I got from Cisco’s website.  I am glad I downloaded them yesterday, because Ryan Foster removed me as a Admin of InSwift, so I lost my partner access this morning.

Routers and switches shipped today.  I am currently looking at PDU’s and rack kits (expensive) for Power and Mounting.

I picked up a APC Netshelter cabinet from a local source for $25US.  Talk about a steal!  These things sell new for $1800US.  It’s a ugly tope color so I’ll be painting it black soon.

YES! Wife OK’d!  My brother is coming into town on 4/9.  I am flying up to Denver with him to pick them up, then we are driving back.  14 hour drive.  Big thanks to my buddy Dan for letting me crash at his pad for the night.

Well over the weekend my buddy Kyle came over and helped me put in some ceiling fans.  I turned our guest room into my office so that I have a better work space for projects, as well as my CCNP.

Installed new Stoptech slotted rotors and high performance pads on saturday. Thanks to my buddy Dave for the use of his garage. He’s got a sick ‘77 vette too. The brakes feel great. I just need to troubleshoot the pad wear sensor on why its not resetting.

So I am sitting here at work drooling over this Cisco lab that is for sale in Denver. Thanks Dan for teasing.

Now….how to I get the wife to approve?
